Let me say something from the deepest part of my heart:
I do not believe we can change the U.S. industrial food system from the top down. Not the corporations. Not the billionaires. Not the government agencies that approve, subsidize, and protect it.
You see so many people speaking up about this — documentaries, interviews, podcasts, experts, farmers, parents — all warning that we need to change this system before it’s too late. And they’re right. But here is the part most people don’t want to say out loud: we cannot stop them. We cannot force giant corporations, billionaires, or global investors to walk away from the system they built. We cannot make them abandon industrial agriculture, patented seeds, chemical farming, or ultra‑processed food. They are too invested, too protected, too intertwined with the regulators who approve the very products that end up on our plates.
And while we spend our money on food that harms our health, we end up spending even more on medical insurance, doctor visits, hospital bills, medications, and treatments. At some point you realize this is not a “healthcare system.” It is a business model built on chronic illness. The food system, the medical system, and the regulatory system are all connected — and none of them are designed to keep us healthy. So no, we cannot stop them. But we can stop participating in the system that feeds them.
Real change will never come from the top. It will come from us — from the ground up, from the soil up, from the choices we make every single day.
And the only real power we have is to step out of that cycle and choose differently.
So if the system won’t change for us… WE change how we interact with the system.
That is where our power is.
1. We Stop Feeding the Beast
The most powerful thing we can do is simple:
Stop buying toxic food.
Every dollar is a vote. Every purchase is a message. Every choice is a shift in the system.
When we stop buying it, they lose power. When we stop eating it, we reclaim ours.
- Local organic farmers
- Farmers markets
- Community gardens
- Grow your own food
This is how we break the cycle.
2. We Become Investigators of Our Own Food
The labels won’t protect you. The marketing won’t protect you. The system won’t protect you.
So you become your own protector.
You learn to:
- Read ingredients
- Recognize hidden sugars
- Spot chemical additives
- Avoid GMO‑based fillers
- Choose whole, real, simple foods
This is not paranoia. This is survival in a system that does not prioritize your health.
3. We Rebuild Our Kitchens From Scratch
If junk food is toxic, then we stop buying it — and we make our own versions.
Not to be perfect. Not to be extreme. But to be aware.
Homemade:
- Sauces
- Soups
- Snacks
- Breads
- Treats
You control the ingredients. You control the quality. You control the outcome.
This is how you take your power back.
4. We Get Involved in Our Communities
This is bigger than one person. This is about our children, our grandchildren, and the generations after them.
So we:
- Talk to schools about what they feed students
- Join local food groups
- Support regenerative farmers
- Share knowledge with neighbors
- Teach kids what real food is
- Build community food resilience
Change doesn’t come from the top. It comes from the ground — from the soil — from us.
Join us and stay updated and connected.
5. We Educate Ourselves About What Food Really Does to the Body
When you understand what sugar, chemicals, pesticides, and processed ingredients do to your organs, your hormones, your brain, your mood — you cannot unsee it.
I learned so much from:
- Dr. Berg (youtube) How does our body stays healthy, detox your liver, kidney, body etc
- The movie, Kiss The ground,
- Functional nutrition
- Herbal medicine
- Regenerative agriculture
And when I changed my food, my body changed with it.
My symptoms — I had a deficiency in many vitamins, minerals, magnesium etc, the bloating, nausea, dizziness, inflammation, anxiety, headaches — all started to shift when I stopped eating toxic food and returned to the way I grew up eating:
Mediterranean. Indonesian herbs. European standards. Real food. Real soil. Real nourishment.
I didn’t become “perfect.” I still love cake, pastries, comfort food, and coffee. But now I choose differently — because I feel differently.
6. The Real Solution: We Build a Parallel Food System
If the industrial system won’t change, then we create our own.
A system based on:
- Healthy soil
- Real seeds
- Regenerative farming
- Local food
- Community resilience
- Transparency
- Education
- Freedom of choice
This is how we protect our children. This is how we protect our elders. This is how we protect our future.
Healthy soil → healthy food → healthy people → healthy world.
This is the only path forward.
And it starts with us.
